Sasyr is a highly quaffable wine that is fruity and polished on the palate, with no sharp edges; well-rounded, sinuous, and immensely drinkable. Pinot Grigio Sanct Valentin was born in 1986, when – making the first selections of grapes from different vineyards – for the first time it was vinified in purity and refined in small barrels. Tenuta Cantagallo has been owned by the Pierazzuoli family since 1970 and covers 200 hectares of vineyards, olive groves and woods on the rolling Tuscan hills between Florence and Vinci. Their second property, Le Farnete Estate, is located in the town of Carmignano, near Firenze and it covers a surface of 100 acres in the Carmignano docg zone and it is of Pierazzuoli Family since 1990.
Carmignano DOCG is a selection of the best Sangiovese grapes 80% and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon. It is the only DOCG in Italy where one is obliged to use Cabernet Sauvignon, because thanks to the Medici, the Carmignano is made by the blend between Sangiovese and “French grapes” which was Cabernet Sauvignon.

A civilised vintage created a relaxed picking environment and enabled an ideal balance of sugar ripeness, natural acidity and texture in the resulting wines.
