It all began in the mid-1970s when André Dubosc – a third-generation wine grower – set out to build up the reputation of the wines from their region of South-West France. He and other passionate young winegrowers fashioned local dry white wines (now a PGI: Côtes de Gascogne), revived the Saint Mont appellation and gave a new breath of life to the Pacherenc du Vic-Bilh, made from late-harvested grapes. In 1979, these women and men, who put their heart, soul and know-how into producing the best the terroir could offer, decided to strengthen their foothold by uniting their wine cellars and estates. And so they set up the Plaimont union of cooperatives (“Pl” for Plaisance, “Ai” for Aignan and “Mont” for Saint Mont). Plaimont Sauvignon Blanc Côtes de Gascogne IGP is an exuberant, incredibly refreshing white wine from Southwest France. Made from 100% Sauvignon Blanc, it offers an intensely aromatic style that bridges the gap between classic French minerality and the punchy tropical traits of New Zealand. The cuvée PAN brings together Colombard and Petit Manseng in a unique blend offering a wonderful balance between freshness and sweetness. Influenced by the Atlantic Ocean to the west and the Pyrenees to the south, the particular microclimate of Gascony alone determines the freshness and aromatic typicity of the wines of the area. Free-spirited, colorful, and retro, it reflects the fresh, daring, and convivial spirit of the wine. Sourced from selected parcels in Côtes de Gascogne, Colombelle charms with its liveliness and aromatic expression, designed for aperitifs and moments of togetherness. APPEARANCE
Deeply colored ruby red wine.

NOSE
On the nose, it reveals an elegant bouquet of cherry, blackcurrant, plum, green pepper and intense vanilla and toffee overtones.

PALATE
The taste is generous and juicy and the aftertaste is velvety.

AGEING
The wine ages in contact with oak for 6 months before being bottled.

PAIRING
Serve it as an aperitif, with garlic potatoes from the oven, marinated spare ribs, grilled vegetables and spicy cheeses.

APPEARANCE
A light yellow wine.

NOSE
On the nose, it reveals intense aromas of grapefruit and pineapple with delicate apricot and peach overtones.

PALATE
The taste is intense and fruity and the aftertaste is surprisingly long.

AGEING
After maturing for short time on the lees, the wine is bottled.

PAIRING
Serve it as an aperitif, with salads, curries, marinated vegetables, and anything from the sea.
