					<description><![CDATA[Located in the heart of the Haut-Médoc appellation, on the edge of the Saint-Julien appellation, the Château de Camensac covers 75 hectares. Purchased in 2005 by the Merlaut family, he benefits from the experience and know-how of the Château Chasse Spleen team, it regains its glory of 1855, when it was ranked 5th Grand Cru in the Bordeaux classification and its wines renew with the traditional quality of the castle.

The concept of a second wine became widespread in the 1970s.
Acquiring a château’s second wine is a way of bringing some of the magic of a great growth into your cellar at an affordable price, with the possibility of enjoying it at a younger age.
Benefiting from the same care of the first wine, Second de Camensac is blended from carefully selected batches, specifically for the second wine, in accordance with its identity. Soft tannins, ripe fruit, elegance, and always excellent value.

A beautiful, deep, and brilliant red with garnet highlights.</p>
<p><strong>NOSE</strong><br />
Expressive and aromatic, combining black fruits and ripe cherry with prominent secondary notes of cedar, vanilla, and spice. Detectable subtle hints of tobacco and earthy undertones as well.</p>
<p><strong>PALATE</strong><br />
It offers a suave attack with ample volume and a medium-to-full body. The texture is defined by smooth, supple tannins and balanced acidity, featuring flavors of cassis, black cherry, layers of leather or chocolate.</p>

12 months in oak barrels.</p>

Dark ruby red, clear and shiny.</p>
<p><strong>NOSE</strong><br />
The nose opens with light woody and vanilla notes which gradually give way to chocolate notes balanced by a lovely freshness.</p>
<p><strong>PALATE</strong><br />
The attack is frank. The tannins are fine and produce a tighted frame on an ample volume. Persistent finish where flavorful cocoa notes remind us the nose.</p>
<p><strong>AGEING</strong><br />
12 months in barrels.</p>
<p><strong>PAIRING</strong><br />
Try it with steak, especially Japanese-style steak dishes, roast duck, Christmas turkey. Macaroni cheese and cheddar are the best combinations with cheese.</p>
