The combination of the sound of the wine, which grows on steep slate slopes, with the “Sound of Cuba”. “Cuba villula”, today’s Kaub, was first mentioned in 938 in a Veronese foundation. This is where Marcel and OAna founded the Cuba am Rhein winery .

The slate rock is the decisive factor that makes this wine so unique. Slate heats up quickly, storing heat and releasing it at night. On the other hand, the folded shale rock retains moisture. This influences the ripeness of the grapes and the minerality in the wine.
