The Château du Tertre dominates the vineyard, which enjoys a superb position, lying unbroken over 52 hectares. Cabernet Sauvignon is the major grape variety, endowing the wine with structure and concentration. Renowned for its roundness and suppleness, Merlot brings its silkiness to the final blending. Cabernet Franc lends its distinctive, rich bouquet of spicy notes. Later to mature, the Petit Verdot completes this range of aromas. Thus is born the Château du Tertre Grand Vin, reflecting the very soul of this exceptional terroir.","https://encrypted-tbn3.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcRmZp82wQRjPyAF8KGWctJCCGrtQpaf4NyQ6GfD8SlHfUJwE6MosdgxYUL5ETWrw4nGXMo05OMiXPmeW6o","Wine-Searcher","https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/faviconV2?url=https://www.wine-searcher.com&client=AIM&size=128&type=FAVICON&fallback_opts=TYPE,SIZE,URL",[[1783603182241161,146536605,1982287593],null,null,null,null,[[2,0,7]]],null,"2774ee38-d19d-4903-ad3c-8fe53ff8a039"]]--> on the Left Bank of Bordeaux. Vineyard notes: \"The Margaux terroirs are there highest, with one of the most elevated gravel outcrops of the Médoc. The light and the sunshine wich bathe the vines protect them from the late spring frosts. A stream provides natural drainage, separating the two gravels outcrops, and cools the vines, thus giving them the cooler temperatures vital for thier development, protecting them both from excess water and drought.\"","https://encrypted-tbn3.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcRmZp82wQRjPyAF8KGWctJCCGrtQpaf4NyQ6GfD8SlHfUJwE6MosdgxYUL5ETWrw4nGXMo05OMiXPmeW6o","Wine-Searcher","https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/faviconV2?url=https://www.wine-searcher.com&client=AIM&size=128&type=FAVICON&fallback_opts=TYPE,SIZE,URL",[[1783604855888479,146535245,1964391292],null,null,null,null,[[1,6]]],null,"9c4d8358-955c-4f03-8029-8e8c39adc195"]]-->.
The grapes used for producing this wine were extracted from vineyards located in the Uco Valley, Mendoza, at 1.300 mts. (4,300 ft.) above sea level.
This area is characterized by its wide thermal amplitude, which allows for grapes of great intensity in color, an important aromatic expression and great natural acidity.

This is a lightly spiced Cabernet Franc, with fine tannins, gentle grip and a clear, savoury character.

The history of Montrose, written in two centuries by three families of owners, is depositary of their spirit, marked by their quest of excellence and legendary vintages. Pioneers in the Médoc, visionary builders and wise managers, all these families knew how to work and valorise this unique terroir. The estate owes them the foundation on which Montrose builds its image today and its unique place in the world of exceptional wines.

The origin of the estate is very ancient. Vines have been grown on the slopes of what is now Château Pavie since the 4th century. Owned by Chantal and Gérard Perse since March 1998, Château Pavie, a 1er Grand Cru Classé “A”, boasts one of the finest terroirs in Saint-Émilion. Château Pavie is renowned for the structure and elegance of its wines.

Starting with the 2005 vintage, Château Pavie officially announces the release of a second-label wine under the name of "Arômes de Pavie” which replaces "Château Tour Simard ” because it would be easier for the consumers to recognize this wine among Perse's range. Principally from young vines that are less than ten years old, the final blend also contains numerous barrels that were remaining following the severe selection that is practiced for the first wine. The same care and attention go into the production of this wine as to Pavie itself.

The 2015 vintage in Saint-Émilion stands out for exceptional weather conditions. Arômes de Pavie 2015 is vinified in the estate’s 20 temperature-controlled wooden vats. After alcoholic fermentation and controlled maceration, the wine is aged in French oak barrels, depending on the vintages in 70% to 100% new oak, for 18 - 32 months. This method allows the oak notes to integrate harmoniously with the wine’s tannic structure.

Château Siran is the result of a subtle blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot, which reflects the identity of its terroir. Both powerful and subtle, Siran’s wines always seek a balance between the softness of the tannins, the intensity of the fruit and a persistent freshness. Siran wines are known for their aging potential, even long aging that will delight the most patient.

2021 is a vintage of precision, returning to a more classic, streamlined style, “The year of Cabernet the King.” After a rather overcast spring, the season gradually regained balance, allowing fine ripeness levels—especially for the Cabernets. Cabernet Sauvignon leads with clarity and finesse, supported by a very expressive Petit Verdot that brings lift and freshness, while Merlot completes the blend with roundness. Lower alcohol levels and a fine tannic frame shape a harmonious, digestible and decidedly elegant wine—in the spirit of the great “fresh” vintages. A little different from the usual style, but just as charming.
